what Jo mensinga offers (Face to face and online):

Drawing on over two decades of experience in the University sector, Jo is available to design and conduct small qualitative studies for human service providers and to offer coaching to new academics and social work students. Jo is also available to deliver presentations about the benefits and challenges associated with embodied and somatic modalities (particularly yoga) in social work practice to organizational work groups and at conferences.

 

Research

Duration and approach required: Negotiable, but Jo has a preference for qualitative approaches that provide rich and nuanced outcomes. During the first meeting the discussion will focus on identifying the purpose and goals of the research.

Academic coaching

60-minute, 1-on-1 session

The first meeting will focus on identifying your goals and what you wish to achieve from coaching. It will also give us a chance to see if our styles of practice complement each other and how academic support will proceed.

presentations/ key note presentations

Jo delivers presentations with a focus on embodiment, somatic practices and social work (particularly drawing on yoga philosophies and practice). These can be tailored to address organizational contexts and can be delivered online or face to face.
